LIFE OF A TMS SUMMER INTERN

Here at tms, we care about our people, and we want to help foster their skills into the best they can be. The tms Summer Internship Program aims to do just that. Each year, we seek to build an inclusive program that not only offers hands-on experience working with clients and cross-functional teams alike but also promotes numerous networking and relationship building opportunities with industry leaders, mentors, and peers across the business.

As an intern, our program will provide you with the unique opportunity to fully integrate yourself across the various business units and departments at tms, while also focusing on team-building and strengths-building opportunities. Throughout the summer, as an intern at tms, you will take part in real client projects and will work together with the other tms interns on a Capstone project, which will be "pitched" to the agency at program end.

As an intern, you will also have the opportunity to take part in various panels, lunch & learns, and group activities, all centered on providing you with career tips, guidance, and best practices. Our goal is to help foster the minds of our future – the talent that will ultimately develop and bring the freshest and most innovative ideas to life.

OPPORTUNITY

Digital Project Management Intern:

This intern position is a supportive role to our digital project management lead. Responsibilities include helping create/manage program timelines, helping provide notes/recaps for internal calls, help document/review/update program business requirements, and sending out weekly communication emails to the team about project status. You will have exposure to our daily tech stands and sprint ceremonies with our Tech and QA Team. This position requires heavy communication and teamwork skills as they will be working alongside account, creative, business analysts, UX, Content management, QA, Accessibility, and Tech teams.

This internship experience will help strengthen your written/verbal communication skills, attention to detail, proactiveness, and knowledge of executing a digital program from start to finish. Technical requirements include knowing how to work with Microsoft Excel, building timelines, and Microsoft Word. Prior knowledge in Smartsheet, WCAG 2.2, web design, Confluence, Waterfall/Agile methodology, and/or Jira can be helpful for this position but not required.

SKILLS

AND EXPERIENCE
  • Rising Junior, Senior, or Recent Graduate
  • GPA: 3.0 or higher
  • Solutions-oriented with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enjoys building relationships and working with others
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time and project management skills, comfortable juggling multiple tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Resourceful and a proactive self-starter

Hourly Rate: $20/hr
