Printer Technician

Job Description

Performs a wide range of printing support services that includes print software administration & hardware set up and configuration using Web Jet Admin, Web Jet Mobile & Embedded Web Server (EWS).

• Printer hardware configuration, assessment, print implementation and deployment activities.
• Collaborates with customer IT department as needed.
• Administration of Web Jet Admin & Web Jet Mobile.
• Interacts with customer service request system software 'Service Now' to address end user needs.
• Monitors multiple devices at the client site(s), responsible for connectivity, functionality, supplies and comprehensive service of all devices.
• Configures all devices to client’s environment, including security, Email/Scan/Fax and firmware upgrades as well as Web Jet and SM9 upgrades.
• Generates all reports on the status of devices for the client, assembling data from Web Jet, SM9, HP Portal, and optionally incorporating data in Excel.
• Handles all tickets generated by users via an SM system (Service Manager).
• Trains less experienced staff on device maintenance, connectivity and functionality.
• Communicates with end users and local IT staff to service devices and keep stakeholders apprised.

• A+ Certification or equivalent (copy required for interview).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be mobile more than 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling).
