About The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead with strong P&C Insurance and SQL expertise to lead application development, production support, modernization, and technical delivery within a complex insurance environment.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Quality Engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions while providing technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications.
• Act as the primary technical contact for application development and production support.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing applications and technology platforms.
• Manage and support SQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Analyze complex technical issues, assess risks and impacts, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support legacy-system modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity and business continuity during system migrations.
• Work with business leads and Product Owners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, QE teams, and other stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
• Provide technical and functional guidance to development and support teams.
• Mentor developers and help establish strong technical practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and application support materials.
• Implement configuration changes and application enhancements.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• 8+ years of hands-on SQL experience.
• Strong P&C Insurance domain experience, preferably within Specialty Insurance.
• Strong understanding of MGA operations and premium accounting.
• Practical experience with insurance premium accounting workflows, including:
• Invoicing
• Collections
• Bordereaux processing
• Reconciliation
• Financial reporting
• Experience working with both legacy and modern Policy Administration platforms.
• Strong understanding of insurance data structures, financial reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience with ETL and SSIS packages and workflow/automation development.
• Experience with technologies/tools such as:

• Git
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and/or Kanban.
