Joiner-Mover-Leaver, Access Reviews, SOD (Segregation of Duties), Role Creation - Completeness & Accuracy (C&A) validation:
Ensure application teams submit accurate user lists - Risk identification and control compliance for IGA operations
Must-Haves:
- Experience with IGA tools:
SailPoint, Saviynt, Omada, etc. - Understanding of identity governance workflows and control concepts
- Experience in stakeholder management, compliance, and audit support
- Strong governance mindset with an understanding of operational risk
- Proactive mindset—can drive IGA processes with stakeholders
Technical Expectations:
- Role involves requirement gathering, monitoring, and operational alignment
- Open to engineers who wish to move into BA work (but most engineers resist giving up technical roles)
Screening & Submission Guidance
- Use questionnaires provided to screen for governance knowledge
- Hiring manager does not need written responses; just confirm candidates can answer governance questions well
- Do not resubmit candidates who have previously interviewed
- It’s okay to submit one candidate to either PAM or IGA (hiring team will assess and decide fit)
As a Sr IAM BA Analyst in Identity Governance and Administration, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of user identity data within our organization. You will collaborate closely with application teams to obtain user extracts, validate them against our identity solution, and identify any discrepancies, ultimately strengthening our identity governance and security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Governance and Oversight
o Manage Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
o Oversee the effectiveness of identity lifecycle management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access certification.
• Policy Development and Enforcement
o Develop, implement, and maintain governance policies and standards for identity and access management.
o Ensure adherence to industry best practices and internal controls.
• Access Review and Audit Support
o Coordinate and manage periodic access reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
o Respond to audit requests and provide necessary documentation for compliance audits, including SOX and SOC-related inquiries.
• Metrics and Reporting
o Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of governance initiatives.
o Provide regular reporting on IGA governance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
o Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current IGA governance processes and recommend improvements.
o Collaborate with technical and business teams to implement process optimizations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
o Partner with business units, IT teams, and external auditors to ensure alignment on governance objectives.
o Lead governance-related discussions during cross-functional meetings.
• Incident Management and Risk Mitigation
o Investigate and remediate issues related to identity governance processes.
