Department Overview In Global Procurement, we build the digital lifelines that power critical safety and security technology worldwide. Our team is evolving beyond traditional sourcing to drive enterprise value, optimize profitability, and accelerate innovation alongside our technology partners.

As Senior Manager of Software Procurement, you will lead a team of strategic sourcing professionals managing global procurement for embedded software, artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, and enterprise software platforms. Reporting directly to the Director of Indirect and Software Procurement, you will establish commercial strategies, drive high-value negotiations, and align software investments with core product engineering and IT roadmaps.

• Team Leadership & Development:
  Mentor, scale, and lead a global team of sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, commercial rigor, and continuous professional development.
• Category Strategy:
  Architect and execute multi-year sourcing strategies across embedded software, AI tools/technologies, and enterprise software applications (SaaS, cloud, and legacy systems).
• Commercial Negotiations:
  Lead high-stakes negotiations for Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs), third-party IP licensing, AI integration services, and complex Statements of Work (SOWs) to secure best-in-class commercial terms and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Partner closely with R&D, Engineering, Product Management, Legal, and IT leadership to integrate third-party embedded and AI technologies seamlessly into internal operations and customer-facing products.
• Supplier Governance & SRM:
  Direct executive-level Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and performance scorecards with critical global software vendors.
• Risk & Compliance Management:
  Collaborate with Corporate Risk, Cybersecurity, and Legal teams to enforce compliance regarding software intellectual property, open-source software (OSS) governance, third-party risk, and AI ethical standards.

• 3+ years of direct people management experience leading global procurement or sourcing teams.
• Deep knowledge of embedded software licensing models, emerging AI technologies, and enterprise SaaS frameworks.
• Proven track record navigating complex IP, software copyright, and technology agreements within high-tech, telecommunications, or safety technology sectors.

Target Base Salary Range: $120,300 - $175,000 Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, IT, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive strategic sourcing, procurement, or software contract management experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely without requiring employer work permit sponsorship.
