Position Summary

The ChMS
Trainer and Support Specialist provides front-line support, training, and communication to ensure consistent and comfortable use of the platform across the Archdiocese . This role strengthens parish operations by supporting staff and volunteers through onboarding, system transitions, p olicy, procedu re, and best practice education.

Responsibilities
  • User Support: Serve as the point of contact for user questions and issues, resolving or escalating as appropriate.
  • Training Development: Develop and deliver training materials (guides, videos, live sessions) for both parish and central users , both remotely or in-person.
  • Knowledge Base Management: Maintain the ChMS knowledge base and ensure training documentation remains accurate , accessible, and current.
  • Training & Adoption Tracking: Track training participation and user adoption metrics toidentifyfollow-up needs and areas requiring additional support.
  • Issue Coordination: Collaborate with the System Administrator and Data Analyst to ensureaccurateissue tracking , documentation , and resolution workflows.
  • New User Orientation: Assist with communication , onboarding, and orientation for new parish users.
  • Communication Support: Deliver clear, encouraging messages t hat help staff and volunteers feel supported through system transitions and updates.
  • Feedback Gathering: Gather and share parish feedback to inform future improvements and e nhance user experience.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology , Education, Communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years in training, help desk, or application support roles.
  • CRM customer relationship experience.
  • Strong instructional design , facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communicator with patience and empathy for users of all technical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written) preferred to effectively support bilingual parishes.
  • Familiarity with software ticketing systems or CRMs preferred.
  • Experience supporting faith-based or nonprofit organizations desirable .
  • Demonstrateunderstanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church teaching,mission and values.
  • Excellent organizational and time management competencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communications, organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work inteamenvironment with a strong service mindset.

This position has an hourly range of $25.70 -$31.48. An employee’s pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
