About the role

Tint is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Program Development, Mobility to join our team and quickly scale our insurance programs in the vertical, including peer-to-peer car sharing, ride sharing, and car rental. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of these spaces, including insurance principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring innovative thinking and a proactive mindset to drive transformative changes within the industry.

What

you will do
  • Build and lead the team that will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Mobility insurance programs in line with organizational objectives, including creating program specification documents, filings, and policy forms
  • Cultivate relationships with new and existing non-insurance brands in the Mobility space, driving Tint's customer base growth
  • Collaborate with insurance brokers and carriers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for insurance policies
  • Experiment with and help operationalize AI-powered tools across program management, analytics, documentation, and workflows to significantly improve team productivity and speed of execution
  • Cultivate strong relationships with insurance carriers, maintaining regular communication and addressing areas of opportunity proactively
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing insurance operations.
  • Oversee the administration of insurance policies, including premium payments, renewals, and claims processing
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in the Mobility space, staying abreast of industry developments and best practices
  • Ensure alignment across business and technical teams to deliver on business requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of insurance programs to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, clients, and carriers, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations
  • Identify and attend relevant insurance industry events and program-specific gatherings
You should apply if you have...
  • Proven experience (5+ years) building commercial and/or personal auto insurance products for the Mobility industry
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and startups
  • Understanding of insurance principles, products, and regulations that apply to the vertical
  • Experience with, or strong curiosity and openness to experimenting with, AI tools and automation to enhance productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency
  • Ability to collaborate with Tint's Growth team, progressing sales opportunities through the pipeline, and securing new business opportunities within the Mobility market
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, proficiency with Excel (Google Sheets), and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to successful completion
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in vacation rental and risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a plus.
