Benefits Account Executive

An expanding insurance and benefits firm is in need of a seasoned Benefits Account Executive to assist and manage group benefits clients in a mixed work setting. This position is perfect for individuals who excel at client relationships and enjoy overseeing benefits administration tasks.

The perfect candidate will be proactive, well-organized, and have prior experience with employee health and life insurance programs. Effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal teams are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily service operations for designated benefits accounts
  • Assist clients with renewals, enrollments, policy adjustments, terminations, and ongoing account upkeep
  • Cultivate strong relationships with employers, insurance providers, TPAs, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure timely distribution of plan materials, employee communications, and benefits paperwork
  • Aid clients and employees with claims, billing inquiries, and escalations to carriers
  • Collaborate with carriers and administrators to address service and policy issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation in agency management and CRM systems
  • Offer hands-on support during open enrollment periods and employee education events
  • Stay updated on industry trends, compliance changes, carrier offerings, and best practices
  • Contribute to client retention and service efforts through timely and professional communication
Requirements
  • Active Life & Health insurance license mandatory
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting employee benefits or group insurance accounts
  • Knowledge of group health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance products
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent organization skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience with insurance carriers, TPAs, and benefits administration processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, agency management, or CRM systems
  • Experience with Hub Spot or similar CRM platforms is advantageous
