Hybrid: 2 days in the office, with Oakbrook Terrace/Chicago preferred.
Salary: $145K–$175K + bonus & benefits
We are working with a growing, established insurance business looking for a Director, Actuary to join their Healthcare team. This is a senior opportunity with the chance to take ownership of pricing and actuarial strategy while helping build out the team as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Lead pricing and actuarial analysis for Stop Loss products, including large group Stop Loss.
- Support risk assessment, reserving, and performance analysis
. - Manage at least one direct report
, with the opportunity to grow the team. - Partner with underwriting and other internal teams on portfolio and product decisions.
- Support the continued development and growth of the Stop Loss business.
- 5+ years of actuarial pricing experience within Stop Loss / Healthcare.
- Experience with reserving is a bonus.
- FSA & MAAA preferred.
- Previous people management experience
, including at least one direct report. - Experience with in a health insurer; candidates from Blue plans are particularly relevant.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
