Underwriter, Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Analyst, Insurance Analyst
Underwriters help businesses navigate risk and make informed decisions every day. They focus on two fundamental questions:
Should Liberty Mutual provide insurance coverage for a particular organization, and what is an appropriate price for the risk we would assume by providing that coverage?
During this 11-week internship, you'll work alongside experienced underwriters and gain exposure to how underwriting decisions support business growth, protect customers, and contribute to a profitable portfolio. As an intern, you'll develop a foundational understanding of underwriting by analyzing business and financial information, learning how risks are evaluated and priced, and contributing to meaningful projects alongside experienced professionals.
You'll gain exposure to commercial insurance products while building analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. In addition to hands-on work, you'll participate in professional development opportunities that help you expand your network and explore future career paths within Global Risk Solutions.
