Chicago, IL (Hybrid) $100-115k Base + Bonus
A leading global commercial insurance organization is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst / Assistant Actuary to support reserving and portfolio performance initiatives across its Commercial Lines business. This is an excellent opportunity for an actuarial professional looking to partner closely with underwriting, claims, finance, and senior leadership while contributing to key business decisions that drive profitability and growth.
What You'll Do- Support quarterly reserving analyses and financial close activities
- Evaluate loss development, claim trends, profitability, and rate adequacy
- Prepare actuarial reports, exhibits, and supporting documentation
- Partner with Underwriting, Claims, and Finance to analyze portfolio performance
- Assist with pricing reviews, business planning, and regulatory support
- Conduct peer reviews and contribute to actuarial best practices
- Support strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 2+ years of P&C actuarial experience
- 3+ CAS exams completed
- Experience with SQL and Python or R
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex analysis into actionable business insights
- Work for a globally recognized commercial insurance organization
- Broad exposure to both reserving and pricing functions
