Position Description:
Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its intellectual property litigation team, which handles a diverse mix of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners while gaining hands on experience across all phases of complex litigation.
The associate will be involved in every aspect of case management, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, court hearings, motion practice, trials, and appeals. Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in patent litigation at a reputable law firm
- Technical background in one of the following strongly preferred:
Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or Material Science - Trademark, trade secrets, and/or copyright experience preferred but not required
- Registered (or eligible for registration) to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, or substantial patent litigation experience
- J.D. with strong academic credentials
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Team oriented, collaborative, and collegial working style
