Family Law Attorney

Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, and child support/child custody. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must.

• Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
• Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
• Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
• Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed

• Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
• Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and live within our coverage area of Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Will Counties.
• Must have no less than three (3) years of experience practicing family law.
• Must have strong working knowledge of relevant software applications, including Google Suite, Family Law Software, Microsoft Office, MyCase, and Zoom.

$96,000-$120,000 per year
