Antitrust M&A/Regulatory Attorney (2-4 yrs) – Leading Am Law 50 Firm
About the Position: Our client, a prominent global law firm, is seeking an experienced M&A/regulatory antitrust lawyer to join its large and state-of-the-art Chicago office. This person will be joining a team within the firm’s Chambers-ranked practice group that handles compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act and coordinates with its European-based team on international merger control compliance. This top-tier law firm has a long history of involvement with many of Chicago’s business, legal, civic, and educational institutions, and devotes significant resources to impactful pro bono legal work in the community.

Responsibilities:
- Handle compliance relating to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act
- Assess HSR reportability
- Prepare HSR forms
- Manage filing preparation
- Coordinate with firm’s European-based team on international merger control compliance
- Antitrust analysis of competitor transactions, Second Request responses and general antitrust counseling
Required Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of antitrust and competition experience with a focus on regulatory/corporate M&A
- Experience with or an interest in merger reviews
- A background working for private equity fund clients (on top of prior legal experience) is a plus
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $235,000 – $310,000.
