Job Description:
The Senior Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidence in handling litigation-related tasks, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Coordinate federal and state e-filings, including appellate court submissions
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling logistics
- Maintain and organize electronic case files and documentation
- Assist with court filings, service of process, and coordination with outside counsel
- Support attorneys with case preparation and day-to-day administrative needs
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across legal documents and filings
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment
- Prior experience supporting defense litigation matters (insurance or medical defense preferred)
- Familiarity with litigation procedures, court rules, and HIPAA-related documents
- Proficiency with legal and business tools including Perfect Law, Microsoft 365, Adobe, Dropbox, and Zoom
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Professional, polished demeanor with a confident and proactive work style
