Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Attorney based in Chicago, IL. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in civil matters involving personal injury cases. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and filing legal motions, presenting cases in court, preparing and conducting depositions, and managing trial preparations. The role also requires consistent client communication and attention to case strategy and details.

You must be creative at solving problems and be able to handle both other team members and difficult clients with dignity and respect at all times. Being a team player and having the ability to motivate others is another essential skill set. The position does require technological literacy as we use the File Vine Case Management Software and MS Office products.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of law and legal principles relevant to personal injury cases
  • Experience with drafting and filing motions
  • Proficiency in managing court proceedings and interactions
  • Skilled in preparing and conducting depositions
  • Experience in trial preparation and litigation processes
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active law license in Illinois
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases effectively
  • Access to a car for coverage in suburban courtrooms.
