In-House: Corporate Counsel Global Investment Bank

Our client, a premier global investment banking platform, is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join its Legal Department as a Corporate Counsel. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior professionals in connection with legal and regulatory matters related to the firm's investment banking activities.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on non‑disclosure agreements, client engagement letters, and other documentation supporting investment banking and financial advisory activities
• Provide day‑to‑day counsel to investment banking teams on legal, regulatory, commercial, reputational, and risk‑management issues
• Advise on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, conflicts of interest, and risk mitigation
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting investment banking activities and assist in developing, implementing, and refining internal policies and procedures
• Coordinate and manage outside counsel, as needed
• Recommend process improvements and updated policies in response to evolving legal trends and business needs

• 4‑10 years of experience with M&A and financing transactions in a law firm and/or in‑house legal department
• Prior experience working in an investment bank (or familiarity with investment banking practices) preferred, but not required
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 - $250,000, plus discretionary bonus
