Position Title: Workers Comp Legal Assistant
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 / Year DOE
The Workers' Comp Legal Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the legal team by managing client interactions and documentation. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle a high volume of calls and address client concerns efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Additionally, the role involves organizing and uploading documents while assisting an attorney with various tasks.
A commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining organization is essential for success in this position.
- Manage high call volumes, providing updates, and resolving client issues
- Support one attorney with miscellaneous tasks
- Scan and upload legal documents
- Keep track of client updates using Lotus Notes
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their cases
- 3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant in workers' compensation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Adobe
- Experience supporting one or more attorneys/partners
- Ability to scan and upload documents
- Strong communication skills when speaking to clients
- Personal injury experience is preferred
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
