A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney (1+ Years) to join its Chicago, Illinois office. • Conduct pre‑lawsuit investigations and case analysis to evaluate claims, defenses, and exposure
• Engage in written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit
• Participate in depositions, including witness preparation and deposition outlines
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions and discovery‑related motions
• Appear in court for hearings, status conferences, and other proceedings as needed
• Assist in arbitration, Litigation – Mediation, and trials, including trial preparation and exhibit coordination
• Analyze and litigate Insurance Coverage matters (policy interpretation, coverage opinions, and coverage disputes)
• Perform legal research and write memoranda on liability, damages, procedure, and evidentiary issues
• Support document review workflows and Litigation – eDiscovery General processes as needed

• 1+ years of litigation experience preferred (insurance defense, personal injury defense, commercial litigation, or related)
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Strong work ethic, motivation, and professional judgment
• Effective project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Creative thinking and problem‑solving capabilities
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment while also handling independent assignments
