Litigation Paralegal

Overview

We are seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to support attorneys in active personal injury cases. This position is litigation-focused and best suited for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing cases involving extensive discovery and medical records.

• Manage assigned litigation files from filing through resolution
• Draft, organize, and manage written discovery, including interrogatories, requests to produce, and requests to admit
• Assist with deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits and summarizing testimony
• Obtain, organize, and analyze medical records, medical bills, and lien information
• Track case deadlines, court dates, discovery schedules, and depositions
• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and exhibits in state and federal court
• Communicate with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, and document collection
• Assist with mediation and trial preparation, including exhibit lists and trial binders
• Maintain organized, complete, and litigation-ready case files

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (personal injury preferred)
• Familiarity with Illinois civil procedure and discovery practice
• Experience handling medical records, billing, and liens
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple active litigation files and competing deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working directly with clients and attorneys
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software
• Trial or arbitration preparation experience
