A leading AmLaw-ranked law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate Group in Chicago. This is a full-time, partnership-track opportunity offering exposure to sophisticated, high-value real estate transactions across a broad range of asset classes.
This role is ideal for attorneys looking to deepen their transactional experience within a nationally recognized platform while working directly with prominent institutional clients, developers, lenders, and investors.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on complex real estate acquisitions and dispositions
- Structure and negotiate commercial lending transactions
- Draft and negotiate joint venture agreements
- Handle leasing, development, construction, and land use matters
- Work on entitlement issues and low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional deal teams on large-scale development projects
- Minimum of 3 years of law firm experience in real estate transactions
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development matters
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent academic credentials and attention to detail
- Admitted (or eligible for prompt admission) to the Illinois Bar
- Work within a nationally respected, top-tier real estate practice
- Exposure to high-profile, sophisticated commercial real estate transactions

Compensation: $260,000–$390,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, market factors, and internal equity, plus bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
