Insurance Regulatory In-House Counsel

Beacon Hill is looking for an Insurance Regulatory In-House Counsel for a corporation in Chicago, IL! If qualified and interested, please apply.

• Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters impacting the insurance industry, including surplus lines, licensing, product filings, and regulatory inquiries.
• Advise senior management and business teams on the implications of changes in state and federal insurance laws and regulations.
• Draft and review regulatory responses, contracts, and insurance-related documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist with regulatory investigations and inquiries.
• Partner closely with internal business units (e.g., product development, compliance, underwriting, claims) to align regulatory requirements with business objectives.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the state and federal levels and provide proactive guidance on business impact.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal policies, procedures, and training programs related to regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with external counsel and industry groups on regulatory matters, advocacy efforts, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks, offering practical, business-focused solutions to complex challenges.
