Cozen O’Connor’s Global Insurance Department seeks an associate with 4‑7 years of significant CGL insurance coverage experience to join the Chicago office. Ideal candidate will also have experience across other insurance lines, including trucking, a grasp of contractual indemnity requirements, competing other insurance clauses and professional liability lines. Candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical and writing skills and academic achievement. Candidates with some litigation experience are preferred.
The associate will be directly supervised by senior associates on the team, work with partners, and have the opportunity to engage in direct client contact, including counseling clients on insurance coverage matters. The associate also will develop hands‑on litigation experience. Illinois bar admission required.

Our coverage team handles complex matters for insurance industry clients throughout the United States and around the world. We represent insurance clients in matters involving errors and omissions, directors and officers coverage, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, construction defect, mass tort and environmental coverage, life sciences, and bad faith.
The salary range for this role is $195,000 - $210,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
