A premier insurance defense firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage practice in Chicago. This is a good opportunity for an insurance attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, direct partner access, and hands-on experience with sophisticated first-party property coverage matters.

What You’ll Do

• Lead insurance coverage matters from inception through resolution, including trial
• Partner closely with senior attorneys while independently managing your own docket
• Draft and argue dispositive and substantive motions in state and federal courts
• Conduct written discovery, depositions, and examinations under oath
• Provide strategic coverage advice to claims professionals and in-house counsel
• Prepare clear, practical, and well-reasoned coverage opinions

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5 years of insurance coverage litigation experience
• Active Illinois bar admission and admission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Confidence managing client relationships and providing direct advice
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable taking full ownership of files
