Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit is growing! A well-established and leading law firm specializing in the representation of condominium and homeowner associations is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate with 3-7 years of experience. Qualified candidates must be licensed in Illinois and possess litigation experience. Mediation and arbitration experience preferred. Knowledge of and experience with the Illinois Condominium Property Act preferred, but not required.
The starting salary is $100,000, contingent upon level of experience. KSN offers a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, basic life/AD & D coverage, voluntary life insurance, critical illness, accident, hospital, and a retirement plan for those who are eligible. Business hours for this exempt position are 9:00am. to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The position requires a minimum of 60-90 days of in-office training.
After successfully completing this period, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule with one in-office day required per week. The requirement will be discussed more during the interview process.

Appear on behalf of clients in courts and administrative hearings throughout the Chicagoland area. General civil litigation activities, including drafting pleadings and briefs, drafting and responding to written discovery, conducting depositions, trials, and legal research. Participate in all Continuing Legal Education trainings. Follow up on multiple, related tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that deadlines are met. Work with and support multiple clients simultaneously, ensuring effective communication, timely responses, and personalized service to meet each client's unique needs.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently. Sound judgment in handling highly confidential matters. Capable of managing a heavy and varied workload. Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task. Awareness of updates and changes to Illinois statutes and case law. Quick learner with the ability to acquire new skills effectively and efficiently.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Self-motivated with a high level of initiative. Commitment to delivering the highest quality work and client service. License/Certification:
