Residential Title Examiner

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Residential Title Examiner to join our growing team. You will research real estate records, examine property titles, and provide underwriting support for the issuance of residential title insurance commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Examine title orders and documents to determine conditions of title and insurability, including deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, assessments, probate, and other matters of record.
- Verify legal descriptions (metes and bounds/lot and block) and plot descriptions or easements when necessary.
- Identify title defects, determine requirements for resolution, and draft curative requirements.
- Review related documents such as purchase agreements and surveys.
- Prepare title commitments, search reports, and other documents in compliance with state statutes, underwriting standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with customers, team members, and legal counsel to resolve title questions and issues.
- Maintain productivity standards and adhere to workflow procedures.
- Utilize title production software, online databases, and other resources to complete accurate examinations.
- College degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Title Examiner (residential experience preferred).
- Strong research, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computers;
Soft Pro experience a plus. - High attention to detail and accuracy.
