Tax Associate (2+ yrs) – Am Law 100 Firm

About the Position: Our client, a dynamic national Am Law firm, has an active need for a tax attorney to join as an associate in its Chicago office. This firm’s tax practice provides solutions and legal guidance on international, federal, state and local tax laws to entities in all major industries and tax status classifications. Attorneys in the group partner with clients to develop business solutions related to taxation of business transactions, tax controversy and litigation, state & local tax, international tax, real estate tax and private equity and financial services.

• Advise clients on the tax consequences of various corporate and business transactions including corporate and partnership formations, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions
• Research and assess complicated federal tax issues involving entity formation, deal structuring and M&As
• Assist clients throughout all phases of a dispute, including audit, administrative appeals and judicial proceedings

• 2+ years of tax experience either in a law firm or major accounting firm
• LL.M. in Taxation preferred
• Strong academic credentials

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

The anticipated salary range for this position is $220,000 – $320,000.
