Paralegal

A respected law firm in Chicago is seeking a Senior Bankruptcy Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to support its bankruptcy and restructuring practice. This role involves substantive responsibility in complex Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters and direct collaboration with attorneys, clients, trustees, and court personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file voluntary and involuntary petitions, schedules, statements of financial affairs, and related pleadings
• Draft motions, fee applications, notices, and proposed orders
• Manage case dockets and monitor deadlines through PACER and ECF systems
• Coordinatemeetings, hearings, and court appearances
• Assist with asset analysis, claims review, and plan confirmation processes
• Communicate with creditors, trustees, and clients regarding case status and documentation
• Organize exhibits and assist with trial or contested matters as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of bankruptcy experience (debtor-side, creditor-side, or both)
• Strong working knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
• Extensive experience with CM/ECF filing and PACER research
• High attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume caseloads
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment

Compensation:

Salary range: $70, annually + performance bonuses
