A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide high-level support to its attorneys. The ideal candidate will have 3–8 years of experience in a law firm environment, strong technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience supporting attorneys in a law firm setting.
- Experience with e-filing in Federal and State courts, including Courts of Appeal.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Working knowledge of legal terminology and principles; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in MS Office (M365), Zoom, Adobe, and Dropbox.
- Experience with legal applications including Perfect Law, M365, Adobe, and Dropbox.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence from draft through final, including proofreading and formatting.
- Reformat pleadings and legal filings to ensure compliance with court requirements.
- Manage all aspects of scheduling and calendaring, including deadlines and court appearances.
- Coordinate the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings and briefs.
- Manage service of process, court filings, and service on parties; coordinate with local counsel as needed.
- Prioritize and manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
- Organize and maintain electronic case files to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
