the city of chicago law department seeks an attorney for the position of assistant corporation counsel (acc i) in the collections, ownership and administrative litigation (coal) division. Coal enforces municipal laws, collects fines, fees and penalties, determines owners responsible for violations, and represents the city in foreclosure, lien, bankruptcy, tax deed, and administrative hearing matters.

- experience in bankruptcy cases
- graduation from an american bar association accredited law school with a juris doctor degree
- admission to the illinois bar (or eligibility for admission on motion to the illinois bar pursuant to illinois supreme court rule 705) and good standing with your state attorney registration & disciplinary commission

salary: $78,108 – 130,128 (salary is based on a variety of factors including experience and credentials)
