Direct Counsel has partnered with a nationally recognized plaintiffs' litigation firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Mass Tort Litigation team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who thrives in complex, high-impact litigation and wants to work alongside accomplished trial lawyers representing individuals in significant mass tort, product liability, multi-district litigation (MDL), consumer protection, and other complex civil matters.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of complex litigation experience, excellent legal writing skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of injured clients. This role offers meaningful responsibility from day one, hands-on litigation experience, and the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant cases from inception through trial.

• Evaluate and develop claims through detailed factual and legal analysis.
• Review and analyze medical records, case files, and investigative materials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and written discovery.
• Manage all phases of written discovery, including large-scale document review.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with co-counsel and litigation teams in multi-district and coordinated proceedings.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit development, and case strategy.
• Attend hearings, mediations, court appearances, and trials as needed.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active U.S. bar license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of complex civil litigation experience.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
