Position Overview
:
National Safety Apparel, located in Chicago, IL is looking for students pursuing degrees in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or Reporting / Analytics with an interest in Inventory Management, Logistics and Planning. Our interns will have the opportunity to interact with operators, maintenance, supervisors, and engineers. There are opportunities to gain knowledge and practical experience in a wide range of functions in each department.

Essential Job Functions:

• Inventory Data Development / Reporting
• Inventory Management Continuous Process Improvement
• Logistics Optimization
• Participation in Strategic SIOP Process Development

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Other duties as assigned

Experience/

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing degrees in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Reporting / Analytics or other similar disciplines with an interest in Inventory Management, Logistics and Planning.
• Strong Excel and ERP skills. Tableau experience a plus.
• Exposure to Inventory Management & Planning strategies and philosophies
• Ability to work on-site in an office & manufacturing environment

Competencies:

• Strong data, analytics, database and spreadsheet skills - the ability to work through considerable amounts of data with a focus on standardization, quality and completeness.

• Communications skills - need to be able to speak to data clearly and communicate with Supply Chain and Operations teams.
