Overview
Principal Associate, Supplier Management
As a Principal Associate, Supplier Management you will be responsible for the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties, enabling a well‑managed and adaptable supply chain. This specific role supports the ESM – Technology team and prefers experience managing technology suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Teamwork & Strategic Support
:
Support the creation and execution of strategic and innovative solutions for internal customers to identify value‑generating opportunities such as savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth. - Negotiation
:
Negotiate basic contracts for a broad range of products and services for Capital One. - Relationship Management
:
Serve as a point of contact for third parties and manage an effective governance structure between Capital One and assigned third parties. - Collaboration
:
Partner with business units and internal risk groups to ensure third party relationships comply with all relevant policies and procedures. - Risk Management
:
Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third party contractual obligations. - Process Management
:
Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third‑party relationships; plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships. - Supplier Sourcing
:
Maintain awareness of the external marketplace as it relates to your suppliers and perform basic sourcing activities where appropriate.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
- At least 3 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Procurement, Project Management, Process Management, or a combination of these.
- Bachelor's degree or military experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, or Risk Management, or a combination of these.
- Experience managing the key responsibilities with technology suppliers.
