Magna Transport Solutions is looking for a motivated Operations Coordinator to join our growing Chicago team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or build a career in transportation and logistics. WhatYou'll Do
- Monitor and manage shipments from pickup through delivery
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Track freight and provide proactive shipment updates
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments
Resolve transportation and service issues in real time - Support carrier sourcing and capacity management
- Maintain accurate shipment information in company systems
- Assist with reporting, documentation, and customer service initiatives
- Help ensure Magna delivers exceptional service to customers every day
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
- Attention to detail and a problem‑solving mindset
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Previous logistics, transportation, customer service, or operations experience is a plus, but not required
- Learn the transportation and logistics industry from experienced professionals
