Purchasing Associate

Zena Tech (Nasdaq: ZENA | FSE: 49Q) is a technology company specializing in AI drones, Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS), enterprise SaaS, and quantum computing solutions for mission-critical business applications. Since 2017, the company has leveraged its software development expertise and expanded its drone design and manufacturing capabilities through Zena Drone to innovate and enhance customer inspection, monitoring, safety, security, compliance, and surveying processes.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Associate to support our procurement operations. You’ll play a key role in sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods—all while keeping costs in check and quality high. This role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors while optimizing costs and ensuring quality standards.

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Create and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies
• Track shipments and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast needs and avoid shortages
• Resolve issues related to invoices, deliveries, or product quality
• Support vendor evaluations and performance reviews
• Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor contracts.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on strategies.

• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
• Experience with purchasing overseas
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Translate, Claude, and purchasing software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in evaluating supplier offerings.
