Detailer II Plumbing or Piping

Job Responsibilities

• Drive, identify and implement cost saving opportunities of any kind; such as: resource activities, consolidations, supplier negotiations, VE/VA opportunities and demand reduction opportunities.
• Take sourcing responsibility over a range of categories on EU level; internal customers are plants and functional departments.
• Scope is Pan-European and across business units.
• Will be responsible for one or more categories with Global Lead responsibility.
• Avoid and push back cost increases of suppliers.
• Contribute to year over year cost saving targets by business unit.
• Develop in-depth commodity expertise and strategies, and execute on those.

Education/ Certification

• master degree preferred in business or technical discipline.

Specialized Skills/Knowledge

• Strong communication skills; ability to drive results while maintaining smooth, constructive interactions on all levels.
• Leadership capabilities over cross-functional teams, strong managerial skills.
• Strong ability to analyze financial and technical data.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Language skills:
  English: oral and written. Dutch is an asset.
• Solid negotiation skills & experience.

Willingness to travel as required; approximately 10 %.

• Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management or related experience.
• Experience in Indirect Materials & Services Sourcing is preferred.
• Experience required in an industrial and multisite environment.
• Experienced in working across functions & geographies to achieve goals
