Import Specialist

I'm currently partnering with a growing international freight forwarder in the Chicago area that's looking to add an experienced Import Operator to its operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in air and ocean imports who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to continue developing their career.

• Managing air and ocean import shipments from A-Z
• Coordinating with overseas agents, carriers, customers, and customs brokers
• Monitoring shipments and providing proactive customer updates
• Handling invoicing, documentation, and shipment tracking
• Working within Cargo Wise to manage files and maintain accurate records
• Supporting customs entry coordination and Importer Security Filings (ISFs)

• 3+ years' experience in import operations (air & ocean)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
• Customs entry writing experience is advantageous
• Based in the Chicago/ORD area
