The Freight Brokerage Operations Manager leads the strategic day‑to‑day functions of a high‑performing logistics team. This team has a deep command of freight markets and transportation networks, drives operational excellence, optimizes carrier performance, and delivers cost‑effective, customer‑focused freight solutions. The Freight Brokerage Operations Manager must have progressive experience in freight brokerage, transportation management, and supply chain optimization.
Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:
- Direct and oversee all freight brokerage operations, ensuring seamless execution of shipments and superior service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics coordinators, carrier reps, and dispatchers to exceed performance targets.
- Build and maintain strong carrier and customer relationships, negotiating competitive rates and ensuring capacity in volatile markets.
- Optimize load planning, routing, and carrier procurement using advanced TMS platforms and data‑driven strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and internal safety and regulatory standards.
- Analyze operational KPIs to identify trends, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, finance, and customer service teams to align operational goals with business objectives.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
- 10+ Years of Transportation/Logistics Leadership Experience, including transportation management systems, fleet management, DOT and FMSCA Compliance.
- Proven ability to scale operations, reduce costs, and increase margins in fast‑paced freight environments.
- Expertise in TMS optimization, load consolidation, and real‑time freight visibility tools.
- A track record of building resilient carrier networks and navigating complex logistics challenges with agility.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills that foster a culture of accountability and innovation
Compensation up to $125k based on experience.
