Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 per year
Our client is a fast-growing CPG company in the functional health and wellness space, with a rapidly expanding presence across DTC and retail channels. As the business scales, they are looking for a Procurement Manager to own the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials and functional ingredients that support their growing product portfolio.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone who understands ingredient sourcing, supplier management, cost negotiations, forecasting, and CPG supply chains. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and will play a key role in building a scalable procurement function as the company continues to grow.

- Own the end-to-end procurement and sourcing of raw materials, functional ingredients, and packaging components across the company's product portfolio.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with domestic and international ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, and strategic vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, contracts, and supply agreements to optimize cost and ensure reliable supply.
- Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Product Development, and Sales to align purchasing decisions with demand forecasts and business growth.
- Monitor commodity and ingredient pricing, supplier capacity, lead times, and market conditions to identify cost-saving and risk-mitigation opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a qualified supplier base while identifying alternate and backup sources for critical ingredients.
- Manage purchase orders and ensure materials are ordered, delivered, and available in alignment with production requirements.
- Work closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve quality, availability, delivery, and fulfillment issues.
- Support new product development by sourcing ingredients and materials, obtaining quotes and samples, and evaluating supplier capabilities.
- Establish procurement processes, systems, and reporting that can scale with the company's continued growth across DTC and retail.
- Analyze purchasing data and develop reporting around spend, pricing, supplier performance, lead times, and cost savings.
- Collaborate with Quality/Regulatory teams to ensure suppliers meet applicable quality, food safety, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve gross margins through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, volume leverage, and cost negotiations.
- 4+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain within CPG, food & beverage, supplements, functional nutrition, wellness, or a related industry.
- Experience sourcing raw materials, functional ingredients, nutraceutical ingredients, or other specialty ingredients.
- Strong understanding of supplier negotiations, pricing, MOQs, lead times, contracts, and vendor management.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers, co-packers, 3PLs, and ingredient suppliers.
- Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to evaluate supplier pricing, landed costs, and overall product economics.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product Development, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple suppliers, SKUs, projects, and competing priorities.
- Experience in a high-growth CPG or startup environment is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
