Building General Maintenance

Facilities Maintenance & Repair Technician / Address 1111 West 35th Street, Chicago, IL, 60609, US / Compensation $50,000.00 - $65,000.00/year

Eleven 35 is hiring a hands‑on, experienced Building Facilities Maintenance & Repair Technician to perform day‑to‑day maintenance and repair tasks across our warehouse facility. This position is ideal for someone with a construction background who enjoys a variety of work and takes pride in keeping facilities functional, safe, and in top condition. You’ll handle everything from drywall and framing to leaks and paint touch‑ups—making you a vital part of our building operations team.

• Perform general construction‑related repairs, including drywall, framing, painting, and leak fixes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common maintenance issues around the facility.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas in need of repair or preventative maintenance.
• Complete woodwork repairs and light carpentry tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas and job sites.
• Communicate with management about maintenance needs and project progress.
• Assist with setup and teardown for small improvement projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support building upkeep and operations.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or building maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong skills in general construction repair—especially drywall, leaks, painting, and framing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of tools, building materials, and repair techniques.
• Positive attitude, loyalty, and a willingness to be a long‑term team member.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• No specific certifications required.
