The Role Entails
Under the direct supervision of Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician carries responsibility for facility cleanliness, repairs and/or replaces non‑functioning items as needed or requested by staff. Reorganizes space and furnishings as required. On‑call availability and other duties as needed.

- Sweeping and mopping of floors twice daily and as needed.
- Clean windows.
- Vacuum all carpets; inspect, clean and supply restrooms.
- Daily – Clean kitchen, re‑supply water and cups.
- Ensure garbage disposal from offices.
- Dusting of offices and computers.
- Continuous inspection for lights, safety problems, items needing fixing or replacing.
- (Quarterly) Shampoo carpets and wax & buff floors.
- Moving furnishings and reorganizing as needed.
- Interior construction as needed.
- Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools.
- Removing debris, garbage, and materials from site.
- Painting.
- Drywall repairs.
- Installation of lighting in residential and commercial areas.
- Repair of windows and screens.
- Other duties, as needed.

- Must be able to perform essential functions including frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods, climbing stairs, occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
- Work under stressful conditions or irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, and other common clinical risks. Occasional travel to other agency offices may be required.
- Weekly:
Complete weekly report and make recommendations for improvements to Site Manager. - Monthly:
Review trends from maintenance reports and consult with Site Manager and Health & Safety Committee. - Yearly:
Review and report to Health & Safety and CQI on maintenance report and areas on Accessibility Plan.
- Weekly:
Review incident reports that relate to Maintenance Department and report to Site Manager. - Monthly:
Review and report trends on incident reports to Site Manager and Health & Safety. - Yearly:
Assist in developing reports for Health & Safety annual reports.
- Full‑time, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday; occasional Saturdays 7 AM to 11 AM.
- Will occasionally travel to different offices.
- Fluent in Spanish; bicultural applicants strongly preferred.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience with facility repairs and cleaning.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must pass background check.
