Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant at Extended Care
. Join us to help maintain our facilities. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more.
$25.00/hr – $25.00/hr
HoursSaturday to Wednesday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
Responsibilities- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, tile, drywall, etc.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation).
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm).
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
- Report issues to a facilities or maintenance manager.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Experience using hand and electrical tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain detailed records of temperature logs, repairs, general maintenance, etc.
