Fleet Assistant

PGL, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Fleet Assistant s in our Chicago, Illinois South Shop and North Shop locations. This position is represented by L18007 Union.

• Perform basic periodic maintenance on a variety of vehicles and work equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on light and medium duty vehicles
• Complete required documentation and enter all maintenance data in a computerized Maintenance Management system
• Coordinate downtime, repairs and return to service with appropriate leadership
• Change and repair tires
• Procure parts from outside vendors to facilitate timely equipment repairs
• Pick up and deliver vehicles as directed

• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED Required
• 1 year of relevant work experience or vehicle mechanic coursework towards a certification
• Basic PC skills
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
