A private household in Chicago's Gold Coast area is seeking a reliable, detail-focused housekeeper to help keep the residence clean, organized, and running smoothly. This is a hands‑on household role for someone who takes pride in maintaining a polished home environment and can manage routine tasks with consistency and discretion.

The primary focus is housekeeping, laundry, organization, and general home upkeep. From time to time, the position will also assist with errands, pet care, vendor coordination, and other household support needs. The employer is affiliated with a construction company based in Glendale Heights, but this role is centered on the private residence in the Gold Coast area.

• Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the residence
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, guest areas, and shared living spaces
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and care for household surfaces and flooring
• Manage laundry from start to finish, including washing, drying, folding, and putting items away
• Change bed linens and prepare bedrooms and guest spaces as needed
• Organize closets, cabinets, pantries, and storage areas
• Monitor and restock household supplies
• Coordinate dry cleaning and other routine clothing‑care needs
• Assist with grocery shopping, household purchases, and other local errands
• Help with light food preparation when requested
• Receive packages, sort mail, and assist with basic household paperwork
• Provide basic pet care, including feeding and occasional dog walking
• Coordinate access and scheduling for maintenance, repair, landscaping, pool, or other service providers
• Support additional household needs as they arise

• At least 1 year of professional housekeeping, residential cleaning, or similar experience
• Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping a home clean and organized
• Ability to work independently and recognize what needs attention without constant direction
• Dependable attendance and solid time‑management skills
• Professional judgment, discretion, and respect for household privacy
• Comfort handling errands and multiple household priorities during the day
• Friendly, respectful communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Reliable personal transportation

This position offers a flexible Monday-Friday daytime schedule, generally 3-5 days per week and approximately 30-40 hours. Exact days and hours may vary based on household needs.

This is first and foremost a housekeeping position. We are looking for someone whose strength is maintaining a private home, staying organized, and keeping household routines on track. The right person will also be comfortable stepping in to help with errands, pets, service-provider coordination, and other day-to-day needs when necessary.
