Position SummaryThe Senior Vice President of Product will serve as the organization’s senior product leader, responsible for shaping and executing the product strategy across all professional and corporate training offerings. This role demands both creative vision and financial discipline—translating learning innovation into sustainable, high‑return business models.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the SVP will be accountable for developing economically sound product portfolios, aligning resource allocation with measurable business outcomes, and ensuring each new initiative is underpinned by a clear business case and return‑on‑capital logic.
This position offers a succession path to Chief Product Officer (CPO) within two years, contingent on performance, growth delivery, and leadership maturity.
Core Responsibilities- Develop a multi‑year product roadmap grounded in market opportunity, financial modeling, and capital efficiency.
- Prioritize initiatives based on ROI, payback period, and contribution to growth and margin targets.
- Lead the financial and strategic evaluation of all new training products and platform enhancements.
- Build and maintain business cases that incorporate market demand, pricing, cost structures, and profitability forecasts.
- Partner with Finance to monitor product‑level performance and optimize for sustainable unit economics.
- Oversee design, build, launch, and continuous improvement of digital and blended learning programs.
- Drive disciplined stage‑gate and post‑launch review processes to ensure accountability for performance metrics.
- Anticipate emerging trends in workforce learning and upskilling; translate them into commercially viable offerings.
- Introduce modular, experiential, and AI‑supported learning models that enhance outcomes and drive scalability.
- Align product strategy with technology, marketing, and sales priorities to maximize enterprise value creation.
- Manage relationships with learning partners and credentialing collaborators to strengthen market credibility.
- Define KPIs for financial and learning performance—enrollment, completion, satisfaction, and gross margin.
- Use data analytics to guide product investment, pricing, and portfolio rationalization.
- Build and mentor a lean, high‑impact product team combining creative and analytical capabilities.
- Foster a performance culture that balances innovation with financial accountability.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strategic & Financial Acumen:
Deep understanding of product economics, ROI modeling, and capital allocation principles. - Commercial Product Management:
Proven success driving measurable revenue and profitability through disciplined product lifecycle management. - Market Fluency:
Knowledge of adult, corporate, or professional training models, including bootcamps or online learning ecosystems. - Analytical Rigor:
Ability to interpret data, financial statements, and market analytics to inform decision‑making. - Leadership &
Collaboration:
Exceptional cross‑functional leadership skills with experience influencing C‑suite peers. - Innovation Mindset:
Comfort integrating emerging learning technologies to achieve scale and operational leverage.
- 10 years in product management, product strategy, or P&L leadership within EdTech, workforce training, or professional learning.
- Demonstrated ability to build commercially successful digital or hybrid training products for adult learners or corporate clients.
- Track record of managing budgets, investment cases, and product‑level financials.
- Experience operating in entrepreneurial or growth‑stage environments.
