Summary
This role is responsible for leading and managing medium to large, complex projects from initiation through closure. Working with cross-functional teams, the Project Manager supports the delivery of solutions across business areas including Financial Risk Management, Information Technology, Operations, Security, and other shared services. The role oversees planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope.
Responsibilities- Lead project initiation and planning activities, including defining objectives, scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Manage day-to-day project activities to deliver high-quality outcomes on schedule and within budget
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project plans and timelines
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks; resolve issues and remove obstacles
- Monitor and report on project milestones, deliverables, and budget performance
- Communicate clear, accurate, and timely project status updates to stakeholders, including weekly reporting
- Manage project changes, elevate issues as needed, and support decision-making processes
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, processes, and documentation standards
- Support participation in regulatory examinations, audits, compliance reviews, and internal assessments as needed
- Mentor junior team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 7+ years of experience in project management or project leadership roles
- Experience managing medium to large, complex projects with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage aggressive timelines and adapt to changing business requirements
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile
- Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle (initiation through closure)
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment
- Strong ability to align business and technical teams
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive working relationships
- Experience leading teams
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, SharePoint, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Advanced understanding of application development and testing processes
