Overview

Position Overview Supporting some of the largest QSR brands, the Development Manager will oversee the full-cycle development of several store locations within Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky.

Responsibilities
  • Scope desirable areas for new quick-service restaurant locations, within a designated territory.
  • Perform market analysis and competitive assessments in key markets targeted for development.
  • Partner with brokers and attorneys to lead the acquisition process of land and/or properties.
  • Act on behalf of the organization to negotiate rates and deals to stay within budget and timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors, design team, architects, and construction managers to ensure proper completion of each project.
  • Develop permitting strategies and conduct presentations to zoning and permitting boards for approval.
  • Conduct research on new zoning regulations, state regulations, and programs that may affect proposed development projects.
  • Manage the development project, assist with permitting, community matters related to assigned project, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Prepare and present development summary reports to senior management.
  • Oversee the construction process to ensure budgets and timelines are being met.
  • Review and monitor quality control by conducting daily audits of job sites and projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in ground-up development and/or project management.
  • Comprehension of the real estate development process, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Understand and interpret financial operations and analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and set priorities.
