About the OpportunityWe are partnered with a well-established, 10-person commercial real estate brokerage based in River North that is seeking a Finance Manager to serve as the operational and financial right hand to the Managing Partner.
This role combines financial management with office operations support and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of a small business. The Finance Manager will be handling accounting, payroll, and office operations to ensure smooth day-to-day business execution and accurate financial records. This person will act as a trusted operational partner and play a key role in maintaining the firm’s internal processes.

- Manage accounting and bookkeeping using Quick Books
- Process monthly payroll, including brokerage splits and coordination with external brokers
- Reconcile expenses across multiple credit cards and allocate costs to client projects
- Maintain clear, organized financial documentation in Google Docs shared with external brokerage partners
- Track commissions, expenses, and cash flow using automated financial tracking systems
- Provide ongoing financial support and reporting to the Managing Partner
- Oversee office operations, including:
- Ordering supplies
- Coordinating cleaning services
- Managing insurance policies
- Monthly payroll processing with complex commission and brokerage split structures
- Expense allocation tied to commissions and projects
- Maintenance of automated financial tracking and documentation systems
- Day-to-day office management and operational support
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books
- Payroll processing experience
- Solid understanding of P&L and small business financial operations
- High level of comfort with Google Docs and building automated tracking systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to handle a mix of finance and office management responsibilities
- Small, tight-knit team with strong culture and close working relationships
