An experienced Lead Valet Driver is needed to oversee residential valet operations at a luxury condominium in Chicago. This is a working supervisor role. The Lead Valet must actively park vehicles while leading the valet team and maintaining elevated hospitality standards appropriate for a high-end residential environment.
Prior valet supervisory experience is required.
Position OverviewThe Lead Valet Driver is responsible for daily shift execution, team leadership, resident experience, and operational accountability. This individual serves as the primary on-site liaison between property management and Stratton leadership while remaining fully engaged in daily valet operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead valet attendants during assigned shifts
- Park and retrieve resident and guest vehicles safely and efficiently
- Set the standard for professional appearance, posture, and communication
- Maintain strict key control, ticketing accuracy, and damage prevention procedures
- Manage vehicle staging and traffic flow within drive lanes and garage areas
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and reinforce service expectations
- Train, coach, and hold team members accountable to performance standards
- Address resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally
- Complete incident reports and elevate operational issues as required
- Monitor team punctuality, attendance, and overall conduct
- Ensure zero lapse in coverage and smooth shift transitions
- Minimum 3 years of valet parking experience
- Minimum 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory valet role
- Experience in luxury residential or high-end hospitality environments preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage performance directly
- Polished communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to run short distances when retrieving vehicles
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Pay range: $20–$21 per hour, plus tips.
