We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Construction to support the planning, coordination, and execution of new clinic buildouts and renovations nationwide.
This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys both field and administrative work, and wants visibility into high-growth retail and healthcare expansion.
The Impact You’ll MakeAs an Assistant Project Manager, you will work within our PMO to support end-to-end construction execution — from pre-construction coordination through buildout and turnover.

- Assist with permitting due diligence and pre-construction administration
- Support procurement coordination (electrical, lighting, HVAC takeoffs and confirmations)
- Review construction drawings for completeness and best practices
- Conduct quality assurance checks on shop drawings and submittals
- Track project timelines, task durations, sequencing, and progress
- Identify risks, delays, and opportunities; elevate as appropriate
- Prepare daily and weekly status reports for Project Manager review
- Support turnover documentation and project close-out processes
- Manage purchase orders and vendor invoicing (review, coding, tracking, submission)
- Attend consultant and contractor meetings; document minutes and follow up on action items
- Travel periodically to conduct site visits and monitor construction progress
- Observe compliance with contract drawings and specifications
- Support store setup and fixture installation efforts
- Coordinate temporary labor for unloading, fixture installation, and supply stocking
- Ensure all field execution aligns with Laser Away’s premium brand standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or related field —
or 2+ years of relevant construction project experience - Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of commercial tenant improvement construction and permitting processes
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
- Remote-based role with virtual collaboration
- Periodic fieldwork and active construction site visits
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
- $80,000 – $85,000 annual salary
